Allied Races


Allied Races have been brought into the game with Battle for Azeroth. A few were made obtainable before the expansion released and the rest after launch. You will need to unlock these races by completing reputation requirements and specific story lines, so dust of your mains and get to work if you fancy giving these races a go. Now as with the base races in the game, the Allied Races all come with their own set of racial abilities but from the races that I have managed to unlock so far, it would seem they do not have their own starting areas. Allied Races are allowed for the Blood Thirsty Solo Challenge.

Dark Iron Dwarves (Alliance)

The Dark Irons have the following racial abilities:

Fire Blood - Removes all poison, disease, curse, magic, and bleed effects and increases your primary stat by 600 and an additional 200 for each effect it removed. Lasts 8 seconds and has a two minute cool down.

Dungeon Delver - While indoors, move 4% faster.

Mass Production - Increases Blacksmithing skill by 5 and Blacksmithing speed by 25%.

Mole Machine - While outdoors, summon a Mole Machine that tunnels through the earth. 30 minute cool down.

Forged in Flames - Reduces damage taken from Physical attacks by 1%.

Mag'har Orcs (Horde)

The Mag'har Orcs have the following racial abilities:

Ancestral Call - Invoke the spirits of your ancestors, granting you their power for 15 seconds. 2 minute cool down.

Open Skies - Increases mounted speed by 10%.

Sympathetic Vigor - Increases pet health by 10%.

Savage Blood - Reduces the duration of Poisons, Diseases, and Curses by 10%.

Highmountain Tauren (Horde)

The Highmountain Tauren have the following racial abilities:

Bull Rush - 6yd range. Charge forward for 1 second, knocking enemies down for 1.5 seconds. 2 minute cool down.

Mountaineer - Increases your versatility by 1%.

Pride of Ironhorn - Mining skill increased by 15 and allows you to mine faster.

Rugged Tenacity - Reduces damage taken by (Stamina*0.0003 * 20).

Waste Not, Want Not - You have a chance to loot additional meat and fish.

Lightforged Draenei (Alliance)

The Lightforged Draenei have the following racial abilities:

Forge of Light - Summon a Forge of Light, enabling Blacksmithing. Blacksmithing skill increased by 10.

Holy Resistance - Reduces Holy damage taken by 1%.

Light's Judgment - 40 yd range. Call down a strike of Holy energy, dealing [Attack power* 3 * $pctD *(1+Versatility)] Holy damage to enemies within 5 yards after 3 seconds. 2.5 minute cool down.

Light's Reckoning - Erupt with Light upon death. Deals 33251 Holy damage to enemies within 8 yards and heals allies for 33251.

Demonbane - Experience gaines from killing Demons increased by 20%.

Nightborne (Horde)

The Nightborne have the following racial abilities:

Ancient History - Inscription skill increased by 15.

Magical Affinity - Increases magical damage dealt by 1%.

Cantrips - Conjure up an Eldritch Grimoire, allowing you mail access for 1.5 minutes. 10 minute cool down.

Arcane Pulse - Deals (Attack power *0.5) Arcane damage to nearby enemies and reduces their movement speed by 50%. Lasts 12 seconds. 3 minute cool down.

Arcane Resistance - Reduces Arcane damage taken by 1%.

Void Elves (Alliance)

The Void Elves have the following racial abilities:

Chill of Night - Reduces Shadow damage taken by 1%.

Entropic Embrace - Your abilities have a chance to empower you with the essence of the Void, causing your damage and healing effects to deal an additional 5% as Shadowfrost for 12 seconds.

Ethereal Connection - Reduces the cost of Void Storage and Transmogrification by 50%.

Preternatural Calm - Your spell casts are not delayed by taking damage.

Spatial Rift - 30 yd range. Tear a rift in space. Reactivate this ability to teleport through the rift. 3 minute cool down.

Zandalari Trolls (Horde)

The Zandalari Trolls have the following racial abilities:

Embrace of the Loa - Pray to a Loa and gain their favor.

  • Embrace of Akunda - Your healing abilities have a chance to heal their target for 525.

  • Embrace of Bwonsamdi - Your damaging abilities have a chance to deal 87 Shadow damage and heal you for 100% of the damage done.

  • Embrace of Gonk - Increase movement speed by 5%.

  • Embrace of Kimbul - Your damaging abilities have a chance to cause the target to bleed for 260 over 6s. This effect stacks up to 3 times.

  • Embrace of Krag'wa - Taking damage has a chance to grant you 393 additional Health and Armor.

  • Embrace of Paku - Your abilities have a chance to grant you 5% critical strike until canceled.

City of Gold - Increase gold earned from creatures by 2%.

Regeneratin' - Regenerate 25% of your maximum health every 1 second. Lasts 4 seconds. 1.5 minute cool down.

Pterrordax Swoop - Reduces your falling speed for 2 minutes. 15 minute cool down.

Kul Tiran Humans (Alliance)

The Kul Tiran Humans have the following racial abilities:

Brush it Off - Increases Versatility by 1%. When you take damage, heal for 2% of that amount over 4 seconds.

Child of the Sea - Hold your breath for 50% longer and swim 10% faster.

Haymaker - Wind up, then unleash your might upon your foe, dealing 20 Physical damage, stunning for 3 seconds and knockng them back substantially. 2.5 minute cool down.

Jack of All Trades - Increases all Tradeskills by 5.

Rime of the Ancient Mariner - Reduces Frost and Nature damage taken by 1%.
